White Traditions Bridal House Creates a Stress-Free Environment for Brides to be
White Traditions Bridal House brings family and friends of brides together down in Frenchtown for an exciting day to shop for the perfect dress. The bridal house sells a variety of on-trend wedding gowns from sizes 6 to 28 in a no-pressure environment where brides have the luxury of enjoying the dress shopping experience.
The bridal house is located at 827 North 2nd Street and carries a variety of wedding gowns, accessories, bridesmaid dresses and offers tuxedo rentals. This family-owned business opened up in Frenchtown in 2011 and has since added a sister store called Cleo Bridal at 103 Civic Park Drive in O’fallon.
A Happy Accident
Owner, Jessica Orf, went to the University of Missouri for a degree in retail and dreamed of owning her own shop selling apparel. While getting burnt out at her department store jobs, Orf came across an opportunity from a family friend who wanted to sell her bridal shop in Cottleville.
“I think bridal kind of found me,” Orf said.
One year after buying the business, Orf packed up and moved her business to Frenchtown for a busier location.
When Orf moved into her Frenchtown location, she knew she needed to renovate the building to create the perfect environment. Her building had previously been a hardware store, general store and automotive parts store. She styled her new shop with dark wood flooring and exposed brick. Although White Traditions is a modern-style bridal house, Orf styled the shop with dark wood flooring and exposed the original architecture to create an inviting, bright and welcoming space for brides.
White Traditions carries a mix of big and small name designer brands. Orf travels across the country to meet her designers and see the dresses in person. This past spring, Orf traveled to Los Angeles, Kansas City and Chicago to check out the upcoming trends in wedding dresses.
Right now, the bridal house carries designers like:
- Allure Bridals
- Justin Alexander
- Wtoo by Watters
- Justin Alexander Signature
- Eddy K
- Lillian West
- Willowby by Watters
- Essense Designs
- Allure Romance
Most recently, Orf picked up designer Madi Lane, a brand stationed in Australia. The brand is new to the U.S. and is set to launch in White Traditions in September.
For now, Orf is focusing on balancing her Frenchtown location with her second location that opened in 2017. To book an appointment at the bridal house you can click here.
