Holiday Weekend Getaway to Frenchtown

Need a holiday getaway? Frenchtown has you covered. With plenty of places to grab treats and shop, we’ve created a quick itinerary for a weekend visit to historic Frenchtown St. Charles.

Day 1 | Settle In

Drive out on a Friday evening to the Victorian House at 709 N. 4th Street. This bed and breakfast is one of the marked historic homes in the Frenchtown area. This space features Victorian-era designs and modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. You can take your pick from four rooms for your getaway destination.

Once you’re settled, take a walk down to Historic Main Street to see the holiday light displays that line the cobblestone street and Frontier Park.

Take a Hike Shop

Explore all things outdoors! Take a Hike has all the gear and accessories you’ll need for a biking or climbing adventure. It’s the perfect stop before hitting the Katy Trail!

Roses and Mint

See their display of full and color wedding flowers made for anything from bouquets to centerpieces. The shop is only a short walk away from two of the Frenchtown wedding dress shops. It’s the perfect destination for a soon to be bride!

Grateful Thread Interiors

221 Franklin Street
This interior design hub houses design services as well as a retail space featuring home decor, appliances, jewelry and bath products!

Course Coffee Roasters

1220 N. 2nd Street
This micro coffee roaster will be opening in December 2019 ready to serve up some piping hot cups of joe!

Climb So Ill

The Old Steel Shop
This climbing gym will be opening in the winter of 2019 featuring rocking climbing, yoga classes and even a play area for children and groups.

Sha’s Coffee Beans Tea Leaves N Things

820 N. 2nd Street
Get all the tastiest dry goods at this new coffee and tea shop. Bring home a bag of their popular tea or St. Charles coffee roast. Don’t forget to grab a sweet treat mix before you leave!

After your days of seeing what’s new, take a moment to immerse yourself in the rich history of the area at the Frenchtown Heritage Museum.

Day 3 | Holiday Shopping Spree

What’s a holiday vacation without a shopping spree? Find the perfect gift for loved ones or yourself! Give your home an update by walking through one of seven antique shops on North 2nd Street, featuring unique, handpicked vintage goods. North 2nd Street is only a short walk away from Historic Main Street where you can find other local shops and vendors carrying anything from trendy clothing and scented candles to baked pastries and handcrafted jewelry.

While you’re on Main Street, stop into Katy Trail Collections to pick up an STL Cake Pop made by a local Frenchtown bakery.
